Conceptual design to increase the current accommodation and provide a secure and dedicated means of access through the insertion of a ramp to mitigate the significant level difference and provide a sense of arrival and play to the setting.

 

Treworder Mill

Proposed 2 storey infill extension between original house and subsequent extension to provide a defined principal entrance and much needed coherence to the front elevation and transition from one to the other.

 

Inward House

Conceptual design for a new dwelling to maximise potential of a difficult urban sites, the design reflects the urban vernacular, and the accommodation is focused around a private internal courtyard.

 

Camel Trail

A conceptual design to an Invited competition for a new gateway building on the popular camel trail. The design provided a focal point to the start of the trail and strived to create a coherent and fully inclusive space, one that responds to the environment and allows for numerous levels of Interpretation through signage, planting, form, sculpture and furniture.

 

Something for the Weekend

Concept design for the conversion of a derelict barn in northern Italy. the client wanted to understand the potential for conversion, which provided an interesting challenge working with the building fabric whilst creating a contemporary living space. the building was single aspect, with views towards the distant mountains.

 

Cromwell Road

Remodeling of a semi detached house to create additional space to accommodate a growing family, providing a family focused space with both visual and physical links to the outside whilst retaining a degree of privacy, also increasing the first floor accommodation.

 

Europan 6

Runner up submission for the international europan 6 competition. The scheme is intended to resonate between the location in Collyhurst, and the wider Manchester landscape. A varied mix of accommodation is proposed. The intention was to change public perception of the archetypal ‘tower block’ concept.

Internal fit out of loft space to create a contemporary office accommodation.

Conceptual design for a fit out of a first floor retail unit so that the client could visualise the potential of the developers shell to create a flagship music store within a city centre outlet.
